Led by Demian Smith, an experienced team of Torus underwriters is able to provide bespoke solutions in the various marine lines in both the UK and in Continental Europe either on a standalone basis or within multiline packages.

We provide a broad range of Marine and Energy Liability products to Shipowners, Cargo Owners, Charterers and those Assureds involved in oil, gas and sulphur exploration, drilling and production in the field, both offshore and onshore.
Marine
We provide coverage for both physical damage and liabilities arising from war, terrorism, strikes, riots, civil commotions and piracy on a standalone basis. We also insure the consequences of arrest or detainment as a result of drugs, illegal munitions, or other smuggled goods being found on board a vessel.
Cargo
We provide insurance for goods in transit by sea, land or air including storage during the ordinary course of transit. We also provide protection for loss of or damage to project cargoes and subsequent DSU/Consequential loss.
We protect high valued property in transit or at rest. i.e. Cash, precious metals, securities, fine art, precious stones and jewellery. The coverage afforded is typically All Risks of Physical Loss or damage and may include employee infidelity.
Hull and Machinery
We provide cover for Hull all Risks, Increased Value, Mortgagees Interest and Builders Risks.
Transport
We provide a full range of insurance coverage to the transport and logistics sectors. We offer combined property and liability policies for Port Authorities and Terminal Operators and liability protections for Freight Forwarders, Stevedores, Wharfingers, Ships Agents and Logistics companies.
